Upright meaning

She sits between the black and white pillars on purpose — she doesn't rush to label things good or bad. Her wisdom holds two truths at once: that you care about someone and that something is wrong, that you want the job and that you've outgrown it. The card invites the same width from you.

Practically, this is permission to wait one beat longer than usual before responding. Not avoidance — listening. The High Priestess gives the best counsel to people who are willing to be quiet enough to hear themselves. If you're being asked to react fast, that's usually evidence you need to react slower.

Reversed meaning

Reversed, the channel is clogged. You may be over-consulting other people, scrolling for outside permission, or so deep in caretaking that your own signal is the last one you hear. The card asks who's been the centre of your attention and whether your own life has been on that list.

It can also flag self-deception — a knowing you have but have decided not to act on because acting would be inconvenient. The High Priestess doesn't accuse; she simply notes that the knowing won't stop being there because you stopped listening to it.
